Teenage Health in Knowsley

THinK stands for Teenage Health in Knowsley and has been designed by young people for young people.  THinK was designed as an overall approach to Young People's health & wellbeing. This includes issues such as mental health, sexual health and child exploitation.  


For the best possible outcome for young people THinK works with many partners in Knowsley such as: Public Health, CGL, Axess and local schools. 

The THinK website has been designed to give young people one place where they can seek help, information and get the support they need.

Health Steering Group

We are a group that are passionate about youth voice being included health and wellbeing decisions in Knowsley. We have two youth advocates on The Health and Wellbeing Board in Knowsley, who represent young people in the borough. 

We meet at Our Place Youth Centre, every other Wednesday 5:30-7:30.

Express Yourself

Was made by young people to create a safe space for people to come and be themselves. This group encourages friendship and being a part of a community. We have helped co-create events in the area to raise awareness and made it a more inclusive space for all.

Intensive Mentoring

The 121 Intensive Mentoring service offers support tailored to the needs of each individual young person. Experienced mentors work alongside young people to set goals and then provide support in a confidential setting for as long as is needed. 

The service is accessed through a referral form, which can be filled out by anyone and sent to [email protected].

Detached Youth Work

Detached youth work is a style of youth work that works with young people in their spaces, in their own communities and is unique in its approach which is youth led. The youth workers create positive relationships with young people and engage them in projects such as sport, dance and health related sessions.

Knowsley Youth Hub

Knowsley Youth Hub provides dedicated support and opportunities for young people aged 18–24 who are currently claiming Universal Credit and looking to move closer to employment, education, or training.

Swap your Appointments from Huyton JCP to Our Place and work with a MYA Mentor for support, 

We can offer one-to-one specialist support tailored to your individual goals, alongside workshops and focus groups designed to build skills, knowledge, confidence, and employability.

We also provide health and wellbeing support, access to our weekly Job Club for careers advice, CV development, and interview preparation, as well as advocacy services and opportunities to connect with local employers through interactive career events. Whether you're taking your first steps towards work or looking to develop your skills, Knowsley Youth Hub is here to help you achieve your potential and access new opportunities within your Area,
